MISSION TRIP TO MONTENEGRO – MARCH 2023
Our mission to Montenegro was to encourage a pastor and to help plant churches in several communities. On this trip, we traveled to Podgorica, Berane, Bar, and Sulomone. On previous mission trips, we worked in Ulcinj, Kotor and Budva.
In Podgorica, we met with the New International Church, and with another church in the Roma community. In Berane, we met with community leaders about stating a Protestant church in their city. In Bar and Sulomone, we met with two groups who want to establish a Russian-speaking church in their communities.
We shared the Good News of Jesus Christ to the children and adults in these communities, and some children wanted to pray to confess Jesus (so we did!). We also distributed Samaritan’s Purse Christmas gift boxes to children, and gave out t-shirts, sunglasses, and in some cases money to those who are really in need.
One of the main successes of this mission was to encourage the Christian believers and the pastor of this church outreach. There are only a few Evangelical believers in Montenegro, so encouragement and support is key to their existence.
